朝からどんよりした曇り空。ティーグラウンドに立つ頃にはポツポツと雨も。
こんな日は集中力との勝負になる。だが今日の敵はもう一ついた。ヒールヒットだ。
特に前半はほとんどヒール寄りのミスばかり。打った瞬間「あ…」とつぶやくこと数回。
1Wでも、5Wでも、9iでも……なぜかヒールから逃れられなかった。
寄せワンで拾いまくる展開
パーオン率は44.4%、ということは10回以上はグリーンを外している。
それでもスコアを崩さなかったのは、**寄せワン（アプローチ＋1パット）**の連発。
サンドセーブ66.7%、ボギーオン率94.4%という数字が物語っているように、
グリーン周りでなんとか耐えきったラウンドだった。
とくに助かったのが、58度ウェッジのスピンのかかり。
「信じているクラブに裏切られなければ、ミスもスコアにしない」。そんな感覚。
ドライバーの精度は課題
FWキープ率38.5%、右ミス46.2%、左ミス15.4%というデータ。
いかに「狙った通り」に打てていないかが分かる。
それでもOBゼロというのは一つの救い。
このラウンドではドライバーよりも5Wの使用回数が多く、
特に狭いホールでは5Wで確実に打ちにいったのが結果につながった。

The skies were gray from the start. And by the time I stood on the first tee, raindrops had started to fall.
It was one of those days — a test of patience, focus, and… clubface contact.
But the real battle wasn’t the rain. It was heel strikes. Almost every full shot in the first half of the round was off the heel.
Driver, fairway wood, even short irons — I just couldn’t find the center of the face.
Scrambling Like a Madman
With a GIR of just 44.4%, I missed the green more than 10 times.
So how did I keep the score from ballooning?
Up-and-downs. Lots of them.
My sand save rate of 66.7% and bogey-on rate of 94.4% show just how much I relied on short game magic.
Especially my trusted 58° wedge, which came through with high spin and soft landings.
“If you can trust your club, you can forgive your miss.” That was the theme of the day.
Driver Struggles Remain
The driver was off — only 38.5% fairway hits, with most misses to the right.
Still, no OB was a big win.
I ended up using the 5-wood more than the driver, especially on tight holes.
It wasn’t flashy, but it kept me in play — and that was enough today.
